About Us
Schwack Maldives was formed out of a necessity to answer the itching
needs of our community. Started in 2009, by two friends, Schwack has continued
to invest in products and services that provide at times, a relief, a joy or a
similar feeling of fulfillment within our fans and customers. At the time when
Schwack came into being, one of the most ignored issues left unaddressed was
that of a social activity which Maldivians could differ to after a hard day at
the office or at home.
A cinema may perhaps be the foremost thought that comes to mind; a
cinema that could match foreign venues, whilst also providing the latest movies
at an affordable price; now that was something Schwack vested its interests in
with all it had. As a result, the “Athena Cinema” flourished with a variety of
the latest Hollywood and neighboring Bollywood movies, as well as the
occasional Maldivian cinematic brilliance.
A need was addressed in 2010; a need for the elderly, the young, the
busy and those in love, to find a place to get away from the troubles and
hassles of daily life. Somewhere welcoming and supported with an excellent
customer service oriented team.
